Flash Blog: Water

Considering the ubiquity of water in our world, this post shouldn't be as difficult to write as it currently seems...

Like most of nature, water can be healing as easily as it can be destructive. Worlds of water encompass incomparable beauty, either enhancing or hiding it.

One of the coolest aquariums I have visited was in Dalian China, where the majority of the visit happens in tunnels weaving underneath and within the worlds of aquatic life forms. Of course, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is no slouch either.

When's the last time you immersed yourself in an underwater world?

  1. A couple of weeks ago I went to the California Academy of Arts and Sciences in San Francisco. They have a rainforest exhibit. Part of it is underneath the water--they've expanded Steinhart Aquarium to extend as a tube underneath the rainforest. Awesome.

I always come to your blog first because you're right on top of the prompts like I am! :)

That sounds really cool, the rainforest exhibit! Hope you had a great time there.

  2. Almost never. I live inland, solidly surrounded by plains and forests. We don't even have any really big lakes. The last time I enjoyed underwater adventure was 7 years ago, before my daughter was born, when I was in Vegas with my husband.

    1. That sounds like an adventure worth repeating - or recreating elsewhere, perhaps? ;)
